The Manchester Metros University Ice Hockey Club are proud to announce the return of Ben Chappell and the addition of Chris Beesley as the 2024/25 Metros C and D Team coaches!
Chappell is once again taking the lead for the clubs development teams, his third year coaching the C Team and second coaching the D Team. Chappell, who will also be the Assistant Coach of the Metros A Team, has experience coaching at the Best of British Ice Hockey Camp alongside some of the best minds in UK hockey - he’ll be looking to use this experience to mould the Metros C Team in a contending side in a higher level than last year while also overseeing the crucial development of the Metros D Team!
Joining him will be Chris Beesley who commits as the 2024/25 C/D Assistant Coach. Beesley took on a similar role with the two sides towards the end of the 2023/24 season after returning to the club near the end of the first term. Beesley, who has played in the BUIHA for both the Sheffield Bears and Manchester, has history managing recreational hockey and working with professional UK clubs - a wealth of hockey experience that’ll be used to bring the best out of the C’s and D’s!
