Wilson and Chappell commit to the A's!

The Manchester Metros University Ice Hockey Club are proud to announce the commitment of Darren Wilson as the 2024/25 A Team Head Coach!

Wilson has a huge amount of coaching experience and is currently the Director & Associate Coach of the Blackburn Hawks NIHL1 team and Head Coach of the Blackburn Hawks Junior Academy / Women’s club.

The commitment of Wilson to the Metros is a step forward in ensuring our top level team provides a place for NIHL, ex-junior and international players to continue their development and play at a high level.

Alongside him will be Ben Chappell who takes on the role of Assistant Coach this year for the A's! Chappell, who has experience working alongside high level coaches on the Best of British Hockey Camps, has coached in the club since 2022 where his focus has been primarily on the Metros C and D teams. He'll be looking to support Wilson throughout the 2024/25 season!
