The Manchester Metros University Ice Hockey Club is proud to announce the return of Thomas Paddy Horner and Abi McIlroy as the 2024/25 B Team coaches!
Horner takes the reign as the team’s Head Coach for the third season in a row! Alongside his Metros coaching experience, Horner is an Assistant Coach for the Widnes Wild Women's Ice Hockey Team and has worked as an On-Ice Official in the Elite Ice Hockey League, the highest professional level of UK Ice Hockey. Horner has also balanced his coaching duties with playing and captaining the Metros B Team!
Also returning for her third year as Assistant Coach is Abi McIlroy! McIlroy, who also plays for the clubs C Team, will be looking to work with Horner on game-days to decide lines and manage the bench for the B’s. McIlroy also has experience managing the bench in recreational hockey and will once again be a valuable asset to the team.
