UoM VS MMU Ice Hockey Returns for 2026!

The Battle of Oxford Road will take place on the 28th March 2026, facing off at 17:00 at the 2000+ seater Planet Ice Altrincham!

In 2025, the event was revived and took place for the first time since 2013. A hugely successful event, the match saw the University of Manchester clash against The Manchester Metropolitan University infront of 550+ spectators, taking the crown of the most attended UoM VS MMU sports match in 2025.

The best student ice hockey players in Manchester go head-to-head infront of a huge student crowd to bring glory to their university, a night of highlight-reel goals, unbelievable saves, and even huge hits that get the roaring student crowd up on their feet!
