Preview | Manchester Metros A v Northumbria Kings A

Written by club volunteer, Leon Higgins.

The Metros return to action (23:15 face off) knowing victory would be enough to be crowned Checking Division 2 champions. A 12-9 victory away at Glasgow last time out which followed victories on the road at Sheffield (8-7) and tonight’s opponents (7-3) with another dominate 35-3 victory at home to Glasgow has seen the Metros dominate the division.

The visitors however will be a tough test with the Kings coming off impressive wins on the road with 5-2 wins against Sheffield and Glasgow followed by a 4-1 home win against Sheffield.

The Metros come into the game with several offensive threats. Dominik Weaver leads the Division in points. The Canadian powerhouse sits at the top with 22 points with 8 other fellow metros in the top 10. Northumbria’s Patrik Huspauer leads the league in save percentage with the metros Leo Hyman and Tegan Lavery close behind the Czech shotstopper.
